Why Your Dentist Office Is Safe To Visit

Patient Safety Dental Offices The coronavirus pandemic has left many of our patients unable to attend their preventative care appointments. We are excited to announce that we are officially seeing all of our patients at this time. As your trusted dentist in McLeansville, NC, we have always exceeded all patient safety and infection control guidelines, and our plan is to continue to do so. We want to help our patients feel confident about scheduling their next dental appointment. Here is why our dental office is safe to visit:

Dentists have ALWAYS been practicing infection control

While many places of business have had to drastically change their approach to visitor safety, modern dentists have always prioritized infection control protocols. Even before the pandemic, dental practices have had to maintain strict hygiene rules and regulations to ensure the safety of patients. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We have always utilized disinfectants designed for use in a healthcare setting to kill viruses, bacteria, and other contagions. Additionally, it has long been our protocol to utilize proper PPE like masks and gloves to prevent spreading any germs from patient to patient.

Additional protocols are now in place

We are implementing new patient safety procedures and protocols to ensure that we can safely see our patients during this time. Our team members will go through a screening process when they arrive at the office each morning. Any team member not feeling well will be asked to stay at home for your safety. Additionally, patients will be asked to arrive at least twenty minutes prior to their appointment time for a temperature screening and to fill out updated medical forms. As a precautionary measure, any patient with a temperature over 100.0°F will be asked to reschedule their appointment for a later date. Additionally, we will be asking patients to practice social distancing by waiting in their cars instead of in the waiting area. This should minimize patient contact and avoid a crowded waiting room.
